We visited her yesterday morning and found her in the reception area, by the front door. It's a strange place to be sitting in, but she was there with about five other residents. The door was opened for us by Kenny Morgan. We've known Kenny since he ran Stanley's Cask, nearly twenty years ago. Why he changed from being a publican to nursing I'll never know. But in some ways I admire and respect him for it. He was telling us he'd been at the home for quite a number of years and was moving back to Arrowe Park Hospital at the end of the month.
Jane took me to Pat's room, which is small but bright. It's on the side of the building, near the back, but has a good view of the river.
