Nothing like Captain Scarlet's car

When I joined my present company I was given a mobile phone. I had a choice of either a Blackberry or a Windows Mobile device. I made the wrong choice and have been lumbered with an Orange SPV M700 for the last 2 years.
This thing never ceases to amaze me at how bad it is - from the bizarre software interface to the physical abilities of the device itself. However, Microsoft have finally come up with a solution.

It's latest trick is to refused to identify itself to Windows when I plug it in via USB. A pop-up warning appears saying that the device isn't recognised or has malfunctioned. If you click on the message it tells you to try again or "replace the device".

I'm very pleased to say that I've taken their advice and my new Nokia phone should be with me soon.
