Jane has high blood pressure, hence the dizziness. With luck Pat's stay in hospital will do both of them good. If I can convince Jane to take the easier options for the next couple of weeks it should help. I must try and get her to use taxis in place of walking. She can continue at the gym for exercise. Jane has always claimed she walks everywhere for the exercise. This is fine but it makes her short of time all the time and I'm sure this adds to her blood pressure problems. We are also going to get the push bikes serviced.
Pat's operation is a 10 o'clock this morning. Fran will be visiting her this afternoon and we are going in the evening.
However, we need to decide what we are doing tomorrow night. We are supposed to be meeting Fran & Gerry and Linda & Alan in Liverpool for a few drinks and a meal. The table is booked for 8 o'clock. As visiting time at the hospital doesn't end until then, I'm unsure what we should do. Jane seems to think we can skip the evening visit "my Mum knows we are going out". Somehow, I don't think this is the right attitude.... I don't think Pat will be up to visitors later today but is more likely to appreciate them on Saturday. I'll leave the decisions to Jane et al. but I know what I'd do.
