The first set was just Steve and a nylon string guitar - the stuff that Jane and I had gone to see. He was supposed to have been joined by his brother, John and Roger King for the last two pieces but they didn't turn up.
The second set, which, I assume, included the missing tunes from the first set was equally enjoyable and very varied. The three performed in different combinations, playing pieces originally written for an electric band* and for the acoustic instrumentation of the gig. Notably, John Hackett played alto flute on some tunes.
* That sounds quite quaint, doesn't it?
