office

It's Friday.

I should be working from home. But I'm not. The new VPN client won't talk to the servers at work. I can get at my email using an outward facing server but that's it. My XP machine won't talk to the VPN at all and the Windows 98 does, but only just. None of the network shares or Terminal Server clients are available and the terminal emulator can't find the mainframe. I could do something if I could reach the mainframe, but I can't.
I placed a call to the help desk and a very nice man confirmed that the new software doesn't work in a lot of cases. He said they are chasing a solution.
