Hmmmm

I think Mark Williams from the Fast Show was on the train home on Thursday night. Which was nice.

Arrrrrrgh!

I've been working with computers for nearly 30 years. You'd think by now I'd learnt not to change things at an important time.
On Friday I managed to do a couple of hours work at home. When I reached a nice point I loaded the new VPN software as requested by our Support Department. From that point on I couldn't see any of the network shares I needed or run any of the Terminal Server Clients I needed or connect to the mainframe using the terminal emulator.

Ahhhhhh.

What miffed me more about not being able to work was that I couldn't spend any time trying to resolve the problem. Jane and I took her Mum to The Coffee Roast at lunchtime to celebrate her birthday. It was the first time we'd taken her out since her illness and her residency at Mother Redcaps. She did very well, munching her way through bacon, egg, sausage and tomato in record time. I don't think they ever serve cooked breakfasts at the home and it's one of her favourite meals.
After an hour or so she became a little anxious so we took her back and sat with her until she became sleepy.

In the evening we popped up to Stanley's Cask for a couple of beers with Ed and Lyn.
