Where's the weekend?

The Deaf School CD turned up on Saturday. I thought it was going to be good, but it was far better than I'd hoped.
The three studio albums are just as good as they've always been. However, the BBC sessions are a real delight. I've always remembered Betty Bright (aka Mrs. Suggs*) as having a good voice but I'd forgotten how well should could sing. Her voice on the session version of Final act is stunning.
Hey, ho. I hope the release leads to another one-off reunion (if you see what I mean).

The rest of the weekend was filled full of nothing. The highlight of which was me staining the new skirting boards. I lead an exciting life.

Talking of skirting boards...

John, from next door, has spent the afternoon fitting them. As ever with our house, it wasn't as easy as it should have been. The rooms aren't square (or, even less square than most rooms) and the damage done by John when he removed the old boards was more than he thought. This, apparently, meant he couldn't use no-nail glue in some places. He's coming back tomorrow to finish a job that he thought would take him a couple of hours.
Jane says it already looks good though.
