and then the sun did shine.

Yesterday

By the time we'd been to visit Jane's Mum, and had revisited B & Q for yet another lampshade, the rain had gone away and the sun had come out.

Hurrah!

Jane and I sat in the garden for a few minutes and then went off to The Pilot Boat. They were holding a BBQ from 2 'til 4. We arrived about 5 o'clock. I think they were still serving food due to the earlier bad weather but we didn't partake.

Ed, Lynn, Howard and Alan were there. A friend of these, Jim, who I've never met before, was busy telling Ed to drop all other email clients and go back to Outlook Express. I kept a wide berth.

We had three or four pints and then came home, arriving about 8:10. We watched the Queen's Jubillee pop concert and, to my surprise, I enjoyed it far more than I expected to. In particular, I thought the Queen sequence was excellent. The young guy in the red shirt was excellent, whoever he was.

Quite an enjoyable evening.
