office

Today's word.

Today's word is hangdog. I can't think of a way to ease it into an entry, so there!

I was thinking of talking about John Lovatt, who will be 50 at the end of April. He always reappears in work with a hangdog expression the day after his birthday. I dread to think what he'll look like this year...

Different Vicars.

In fact, roller skating vicars. Just like the court scene from Monty Python.

The office I work in is part of a converted warehouse. It is a fairly modern building, I would guess no more than 20 years old, which has been divided in two lengthwise. The other side of the partition wall is still a warehouse. Every now and then, particularly early in the morning and late afternoon, we hear a strange noise. It sounds, for all the world, like people roller-skating. We've no idea what it is, but Gyrth has decided that it's a group of roller-skating vicars playing street hockey, or some such game.

I wonder if the Greeks Vicars know about this.... bling!

Music.

As I've promised myself to spend more time listening to music and that we're going to see her in March, I've just ordered the last two releases from Judy Tzuke.

She's playing Southport Arts Centre on Sunday 10th March, close enough to be a birthday treat.
